Unfortunately, we don’t have any “before” photos for this project, but here’s the final result! The original lath and plaster ceiling, which was failing and featured a heavy Artex pattern, wasn’t suitable for skimming. To resolve this, we overboarded the ceiling and repaired a damaged section of the wall before completing a full skim throughout.
Required work -
- Remove coving around room & ceiling rose's
- Overboard lath & plaster ceiling
- Knock damaged section of plaster on chimney breast wall back to brick & hardwall (approx 1sqm)
- Skim full room approx 56sqm surface area,
2.7 meter ceiling height
